How to register a profile and be listed.

A step by step guide.

• Click on the lawyer icon on the registration page.
• This will prompt you to enter your personal details and set the password for your login details.
• If you agree to the Terms and Conditions, your account will be created.
• You will be redirected to the second step of the registration process, where you will be asked to select your practice areas, the services you provide, the languages in which you provide your services, your rates and for how long you have been in practice.
• Upon completion of the previous step, your profile will now be created but not yet verified. To verify your profile, you will have to upload your LPC digital ID. Once it has been uploaded, it may take up to two days to verify your details after which your profile will now be visible on the directory.

Fee structure and payments.

• You set your own rates for the services you provide. At the moment, services include legal advice (answering questions subject to a word limit), document review and inapp consultations. We will add more services incrementally e.g. drafting to enable you to provide a wider range of services to your clients.
• Your rates are made visible on your profile to ensure transparency for app users. There is also a filter option which enables users to find lawyers that are best suited to their budget.
• When clients request a service from you, a payment is made immediately. These funds, however, will only be settled by Legal Standpoint on the last day of each month using the banking details you provided when registering. Settled funds are less the commission fee(s).
• You are able to keep track of your transactions throughout the month on your dashboard.
• We recommend a turnaround time of 2 working days when answering questions or reviewing documents.
